The Seattle, Washington personal injury law firm of Kornfeld, Trudell, Bowen and Lingenbrink and its partner, Rob Kornfeld, handle all accident related matters, including pedestrian, motorcycle, bicycle, and bus accident cases.
Rob Kornfeld of Kornfeld, Trudell, Bowen and Lingenbrink, PLLC represents clients and their love ones who were seriously injured due to the fault of another driver. This includes wrongful death cases, in which a loved one, a dear friend or family member, may have been negligently killed by a careless driver.

Rob Kornfeld has represents clients who are struck by cars, buses, cycles or other motor vehicles, including while a pedestrian was in a marked cross walk.
Runner’s and walkers are prey to careless motorists. Rob represents individuals who are struck by careless drivers as they are walking across the street in a marked crosswalk, believing they are safe within a marked crosswalk. There is no safety in a marked crosswalk from a driver who does not see you in the crosswalk. Who is going to win that battle, even if you are in the right? The law protects you but physically the dynamics are such that you will not win the battle when you stand toe to toe to a Hummer or a SUV. You must pay attention at all times and watch out for motorist who are not concentrating on their driving. Make eye contact before crossing the street with an approaching driver.
Injuries and death are an unfortunate consequence of drivers not paying attention and not seeing what there is to be seen, specifically, a person in the marked cross walk, either walking running or riding a bicycle across the street. Drivers should see pedestrians even those crossing in the center of a street if the site distances are such that the driver, if they are paying attention, should see what there is to be seen, namely, a person crossing the street. The driver has a duty to slow down, stop and let the pedestrian cross even if the pedestrian is jay walking. Speed, sight distance and roadway configuration all come into play.
Bus drivers and truck drivers are typically well trained drivers. But they are only human too. If tired or distracted, bus drivers and truck drivers can also be guilty of the same thing. Trained professional drivers can be careless and not see a pedestrian, cyclists or runner in a crosswalk and cause a collision and serious injury or death. Even passengers on buses can be injured due to the negligence of a bus driver or another vehicle causing a collision with a bus.
Rob has handled many many cases involving deaths or injuries caused by metro bus drivers, commercial truck drivers and other motor vehicle operators.
Rob’s firm represents injured pedestrians, runners, cyclists, motor cycle operators & passengers on buses who have been seriously injured due to the negligence of others; and Rob represents the claims of family members who have lost a love one due to the negligence of a bus driver, drunk driver, truck driver, motor vehicle/car operator or a motorcyclist who has caused the death of another. These cases are filed on behalf of the estate of the deceased person. Typically these cases can arise when a pedestrians is killed while walking or crossing the street in marked crosswalks and the driver does not see the pedestrian. This includes children, adults and disabled persons. Wrongful death and serious cross walk injuries are tragedies in our counties or cities or in the surrounding metro areas which occur daily. My firm has handled many of these tragic cases which result in serious injuries or death. Pedestrians or cyclist never win the battle against a a low or high speed impact caused by a motor vehicle of any type.
