As a person who was unexpectedly thrust into the complicated medical legal system, I can say from experience that few people have an intense compassion for helping others. I am one of many whom "the system forgot" and can say with certainty that there are even fewer attorneys out there who are as passionate about serving those of us as Neil is. I contacted Neil because he has a stellar reputation amongst both his peers and his clients. He was at the top of the list of everyone I asked. I hired Neil because he is so much more than that. He cares about you. Genuinely. My first meeting with Neil took place when he showed up on a Sunday afternoon to visit with me while I was still lying in a hospital bed at Harborview. He stayed for almost 4 hours, talking a bit about my case, but mostly just being a friend to someone who needed one. I liked him immediately. I hired him on the spot, and it was the best decision I have ever made in my life. He fought tirelessly for me, even when it became obvious that there wasn’t going to be a profit in it for him. I never felt like my case was any less important to him than anything else he was working on. His entire team treated my case like a priority right through to the end. I required follow-up surgeries for a year after I was released from the hospital, and Neil would often come down to the hospital, bringing a steak dinner for me post-surgery. What a treat after hospital food! He’d hang out and chat with me and my family. He was constantly reminding me that if I needed anything, he was there for me. He gave me tickets to a Mariners game when he knew I needed a pick-me-up, and I still remember the excitement from that game. In the almost 4 years I have known Neil, there was not a single moment where I look back and question his dedication to my case. Anytime I needed anything, he was there. No matter how big or small. Look, for some of us, life gets really complicated as things happen outside of our control. And when those big complications occur, you really need someone on your side who knows how to navigate the system. Neil told me in a text that he is "trying a radical new approach to the legal world where I am a lawyer who is also a human." I would suggest that Neil is doing better than that. He has integrity in a world and profession that is lacking in it. One of the most consequential decisions I have ever made in my life was hiring Neil. I will forever be grateful to him and his team, for everything they did for me when the rest of the system was content to forget about me and my situation. Neil's compassion, empathy, integrity, dedication and kindness stand out among the others I have encountered in my journey. Thank you, Neil, for standing by me.

Neil got me through a difficult time. Although my crash was not as bad as it could have been, I was shaken and I was scared. He reassured me that my response was pretty normal and valid. He told me that my only concern was to follow up with doctor visits and he would handle the rest. If I had only had that first visit with him - that in itself would have been worth it. Neil grounded me and helped me map out a plan. I was studying for boards and was unemployed at the time. It was difficult to study with headaches; I took my test 8 weeks later than my original plan. I did pass and got a job one month after taking it. He and his team ended up getting a settlement which helped me make up/recover from lost wages. Everything about Neil and his team is wonderful - professional, good communicators and caring.
